Same people that promote Leesport show. This is new afaik. Kind of surprised the college let them use the hall for it, as liberal as it is.

Looks like it's at the Kutztown Fairgrounds, not on KU property.

Kutztown is an odd area. You have the ultra liberal KU faculty/students and the ultra conservative rural/farming community 'coexisting.'

Show is in Beltzner Hall located in Kutztown Fairgrounds, address 450 Wentz Street, Kutztown, PA. Looking forward to it. Yes, this is a new show. Promoter needed a replacement for Leesport, where the new owners are only allowing one gun show in 2023. Hoping they have a good vendor turnout, and then a good number of attendees. Bring CA$H, many vendors don't take credit.

Is/was the Leesport show any good? (I imagine this one might have some of the same dealers?). Mainly looking for ammo.

I wouldn't expect any ammo deals there. For that, go to Oaks.

It went downhill it looked like, last i was there. Much like others i suspect they got hurt by covid and didnt recover. A lot of milsurp stuff at high prices, but some odd/hard to find stuff to be had too. Beginning of covid the place was packed with vendors. Last fall it was maybe 6-8 vendors and less than half full.

Worth checking out kutztown at least, maybe it’ll help them make a come back

Depending on what ammo you seek, there should be at least one dealer with competitive prices on bulk ammo (one or two were regularly at Leesport). Others will have miscellaneous ammo in small quantities, sometimes including stuff that's harder to find (there will be a few boxes of .25-35, some 6.5 Dutch, some .358 Winchester, some 7x57, some 9mm Largo, some 10mm JHP, ...)

Firearms will include sporting arms, milsurp, tactical, black powder, target, and maybe John will be there with his class 3 stuff (he is a regular at Leesport). There will be scopes, mounts, rings, slings, accessories, some parts, knives, and more.

Vendor turnout will be interesting. Hopefully it will be decent, and grow in the future. We need to keep these shows going. With Oaks at $110/table and other big shows not much less, many small sellers won't / can't do it. You only see them at smaller shows.

These guys always have some good stuff. You may have to haggle, since some people (above) say prices are high. Bring cash, trades, or whatever you think someone will want to deal with. Hope to see you there.

So I see there is also a show in Allentown this weekend. Looking for AR Parts (LPK, Grips,Stripped Lowers,Etc) and some Misc Pistol items. Ktown is closer and considered going to both but thats a lot of walking.
Which do you think will be a better show?

I personally prefer the Eagle Allentown show and would go there, just based off of the last time i went to the Appalachian promoted show (leesport). And i only really go to hit up a few vendors i regularly frequent at Eagle shows.

Hard to say though…since Ktown is a •new• show it may be better. Could be worth just going to both. Allentown is an ok show but if you’ve been there a few times its all the same and you wont miss much. Plus theres another Allentown show at the end of march…
