Default So, how contaminated is our rain going to be?

The intentional chemical burn in Ohio is sending up a toxic plume that's probably visible from other planets. It's killed fish and chickens and dogs already.

The prevailing winds seem to go West to East. I notice that east of this is Pittsburgh, and most of Pennsylvania.

Rain droplets form around particles in the air. Many tons of toxic particles are headed this way. The rain water is going to be worse than usual.

    Thoughts?

    Drink bottled water.

Eastern PA? Probably fine. Most of western PA is doomed. Check your wells.

THis used to be a thing to bankrupt companies. But not anymore. And that's a shame.

Out of my control, not much reason to worry about it.

Not supposed to drink the tap water in Pittsburgh anyway, due to lead issues. It's like a fucking 3rd world country here.

Since the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) first failed its water quality test in 2016, it has exceeded the federal lead threshold of 15 ppb by almost 1.5 times.[1] This level of lead contamination poses serious health risks to residents, particularly children and pregnant women.[2]
As a previous poster noted, bottled water is where it's at. Stock up, motherfuckers!

I have 10 5gal jugs on rotation. And a well contaminated with TCE. So there's no drinking water other than what I buy.

We just ordered a Berkey water filtration system. It's expensive but supposed to remove both organic and synthetic microplastic contaminants.

Are microplastics harmful? I'll have to wait and see what comes down later today. Is anyone going to collect and test it?

Anybody here ever go and look at where Poland Spring, or Deer Park, or any other of the *all natural* bottled water actually comes from? I haven*t either, but there are not many places in our world not already touched by science assholes dumping their mistakes on the ground and moving to a new spot. Or firemen spraying AFFF into the groundwater. Or, truckers, farmers , and Amish washing out trucks, and pig sty*s onto the ground.
    Yeah, we*re fucked!
