Agree with Phil, the fudd should lose his hunting privileges for life, although he could probably go hunt in any other state.

    Couple questions come to mind...

    1. I have neighbors who could pass for cows, although how many neighbors look like deer?
    2. Did he have an extra tag for his neighbor?

It could be because the victim shot did not expire from the wound.

    From the linked article:
"Lloyd's neighbor was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Altoona for injuries that were not life-threatening. Part of his skull was removed during surgery, police wrote."

Another azzhole hunter. Deserves to lose hunting license forever AND do substantial jail time.
This does not change the calculus for allowing semi auto actions for hunting in Pa.

This guy would have taken his illegal shots with whatever weapon he had at hand.
He got off far too lightly even though he stayed at the scene and "rendered aid".

I hunt deer with a pistol. Neighbors I only go after in archery though.

Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

I'm not sure semi auto pistols are legal, revolvers are. I carried a .44 mag for back up.

44 mag actually. Semi-auto pistols are considered evil by the game commission, the same as rifles. I'm somehow not thinking this guy cared too much though.

I do no someone in another state that has taken deer with a 1911 in 45 though, so it is a viable option.

Semi auto pistols are a no no, as is harvesting your neighbor without a tag.
