Mailing a long gun USPS
Sorry if this has been beaten to death.
Can private individual mail a long gun to an ffl in another state
Can I being a private individual box up a long gun in a long box take it to the counter of a usps branch pay to have it shipped to Billys guns (fictitious) in florida and leave.
The ATF website says I can, I just dont want to have to be holding my breath and wonder if they are going to ask me whats in the box and then say no.

Re: Mailing a long gun USPS
By USPS regs yes you can. Long arms (rifles and shotguns) can be shipped using USPS by any individuals. Handguns can be shipped by USPS but only FFL's can do this.
