Need info on a Remington p17 Enfield

So, I have a chance to trade for a Remington p17 M1917 American Enfield 30-06
I do not have alot of knowledge on these.
Looks to be Original blued, but has a Eddystone marked stock. 6 digit serial # and a 3-18 R marked barrel.
Would this be abnormal for the stock?
I can text or email pics as I'm unsure how to do that to attach on here.
I'd like to add one of these to my collection, but don't want to make some type of bad deal here.
Any help would be appreciated.

Did you end up with the 1917? Sorry I missed this thread but I own 1917 and might be able to help with some info
