    According to this chart, the 12 GA shotgun has higher decibels than an AR15.

    Shotguns usually don't have muzzle brakes/flash hiders that divert sound to the sides making them louder for the shooter.

    Sound readings are weird.... it varies by where you put the sensors how good the sensors are the room you do it in etc. Plus there's the pressure waves in the enclosed space that will clean the dust off everything in the room. Next time you go shooting shoot from under the pavilion vs outside of it.

    I would have a suppressor on my shotgun if they weren't so big and dumb.

    Someone is working on an integrally suppressed shotgun. Can't remember what company.

    JK arms had a new 12 gauge suppressor that isnt as big and heavy as the salvo 12 and is modular plus its cheaper
