Funny, I took AP US History back in the day, there was a lot of material on slavery and reconstruction and what not. No "Black Queer Studies" though. I guess my education just wasn't complete without that.

    From their website:

    ATTENTION
Due to a brand new and pending ‘No Force-on-Force’ reenactment policy of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, the annual battle reenactment of the Battle of Bushy Run will not be presented this year, the 260th anniversary. Regular and new events will recognize this historic conflict on August 5 & 6 at the battle site.

The Battle of Bushy Run was fought on August 5 & 6, 1763 during Pontiac’s Rebellion between Native Americans and British troops.

Bushy Run Battlefield is operated by The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission and the Bushy Run Battlefield Heritage Society, a volunteer non-profit organization.

Times often do and must change. There are a lot of things that are taught in college today, that I wasn*t taught. However, COLLEGE level classes should be about different opinions, different views. That*s the purpose of going is to learn about views other than your own. Now, would I think that same topic should be discussed in elementary or middle school, No. If you make a law that states ANYTHING that makes a student feel uncomfortable, then you can*t teach history at all. Where is the line drawn ??? Can you not teach about Pearl Harbor because it may make Japanese students feel bad ??? You can*t teach anything about expansion into the west cause you would offend American Indian students. Can*t teach about the holocaust as it may make both Jewish AND German kids feel bad. How does a book about Rosa Parks make the ban list ???

I know BS when I see it. This is just raw meat for the base. The saddest part is, they aren*t fooling anyone and these kids are only gonna rebel as kids do.
    Don’t like me ???? Tough, I don’t give a flying f@@k about ya.

Without the active reenactment many will forget/or ever know that bushyrun exists.

Free firewater might solve that problem.

Instead of scalpings, they'll do wiggings.

Sounds like a porno. I had never heard of it, even in passing, before reading this article.

If you were from westmoreland County you probably would have. There are historical sights everywhere in PA, just like I had never heard of French Azilum until I was camping out and passed a sign on the way to shooters gauntlet it just happened they were doing an encampment that weekend too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_Azilum also check out. https://emergingrevolutionarywar.org...ge-washington/

Annual event up the road from me at Cook Forest about the French and Indian war. Wonder if it's affected?
Action starts about a minute in. Culture alert: white dudes dressed as indians.
It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.
