Default Longwood Gardens to buy 505-acre Dupont Granogue Estate

Granogue, a beautiful, pastural Dupont estate on rolling hills along the Brandywine near Smithbridge Rd in Delaware, to be saved from development by Longwood Gardens. Love this area. Do hikes around there often and it's a fantastic motorcycle ride along the windy, hilly roads of the Brandywine Valley through there...

LG has deep pockets, so good on them for buying up that property.

Btw, LG should be on everyone's bucket list to visit... it's right in our backyard and worth the trip.

Took the woman who became my wife there on our first date. Highly recommend if a person is in the area.

I don*t ride anymore but I did thousands of miles in that area over the years. Beautiful area with a lot of history. The covered bridge always comes to mind when I think of Smithbridge.
