    Everyone here (not a EOD or bomb squad person) is just guessing, no matter how much they are trying to help and bless them for their interest. Call the police, don't move the or bang the projectile. Let the professionals deal with explosives.

    You could back in the 1800s. There's a local story about the Blue Eyed Six doing that an killing the guy they'd insured.

    This is very common. Companies frequently have insurance policies for key employees.
