My buddy and I got stopped in western NC last year, allegedly for speeding. We were on a weekend trip to hunt waterfalls in the mountains and had plenty of guns in the truck. I was riding shotgun and of course the Statey asked for ze papers which were in the glove box along with my 9. Figured it best to "inform" before opening. He didn't seem too bothered, just said, "Ok, never mind, I'll get the registration info off the computer."

So, he was cool about that but a total dick when he came back with a friggin $200 ticket. Seriously, we weren't speeding, In fact, we had just gotten on that stretch of highway and were slowing and moving into a turn lane to enter a strip mall area to get some coffee when he lit us up and followed us in.

That's precisely why i have my papers out of my glove box before he arrives at my window. Everything's ready to go that way I'm not shuffling about showing him things he may not need to see.

Thats why engineers created visors with mirrors on the driver side, dontchaknow . Not for putting make up on on traffic or while driving to work in the morning

Do you have anything in the vehicle that can harm me?

    Does hurting your feelings count?

I disagree with the underlined. What do you base that belief on? They can lie to you any time they want.

Just answer their question with your own question. Play their game. If the cop asks if you have anything in the car then just respond by asking what the purpose of this traffic stop is for.

This. Don't put your gun in the same location as your vehicle registration and insurance papers.

Its also why they engineered it for gloves and named it a glovebox, not gun box

Console holster between the seat and console or on the person in the car (console holster is only for cant carry stops like post office). Either way i never have to get near my edc. My fat ass covers and conceals the console holster when i sit down

Pull over, window down 3”, overhead lights go on, vehicle goes off and keys go on dash. Visor goes down when asked for mein papers. Wallet goes in center console for easy access and its hard on the asscheeks.
