ETA: Will be interesting to hear how it worked for people that went to retailer or courthouse to purchase.

My buddy who was ~4000 in line, got everything he wanted including doe tag, and when he put it in the cart the system crashed on him! Locked up with 504 error message and is now logged out. He*s pretty pissed to say the least.

I'm 10205 in the queue and looks like 2/3s of the way in so figure about an hour.
I called the local Walmart.

The operator told me there were 25 guys in line and had been waiting at least 40.min. she wouldn't connect me because the phone is tied up.

This is a complete disaster!
Just wait to see how those lines look when the after work crowd comes in.

I "stepped in line" at about 8:20 this morning and my number was just below 49,000.
2.5 hours in and there's 42,000 in front of me still.
So, they are getting about 2,800 applications through per hour...........
I`ll be eligible for my spot in about 15 hours at this rate......1:30am tomorrow

Go to a retailer if you want your license today (if you can). They*re knocking each license out in about 5 min. Screw the on line portal.

I*m in online queue down to 8417 in front of me. Big reduction from an hour ago when it was 13k.
