Transfer Fees going up
I used to think $35 was the going rate for FFL transfers and I thought those prices were high. Well, yesterday, I went to three gun shops in Lancaster CO, and it seems like the going price is $50. I was at Lanco Tactical, Trops and Kinsey's yesterday. Today, I was at Kings Shooter and the guy told me they charge $75 for internet transfer.
I live in Pottstown and I travel for work...anyone use an FFL that is $35 or less in the area? I'd probably travel since work pays for my fuel.
I know that most things have gone up in price, I just feel $50 is way too much to do little work by the FFL.

Re: Transfer Fees going up
There are a lot of ffl locators on line. Try looking for someone who works out of their basement. They often have better prices for transfers. A lot of bigger stores prices have been going up.
Here is a locator from PSA. https://palmettostatearmory.com/ffl-locator.html

Re: Transfer Fees going up
When you buy a gun from an FFL, do they charge you a transfer fee or is it typically built into the price paid for the gun?

Highly recommend Don Eastburn in West Chester. Been my FFL for many years. He charges $35. His office is in his basement. Uses the ePICS system, so no waiting for a call to go through.

Re: Transfer Fees going up
i believe berks firearms is 30 for the first item and 15 for each additional and he only does online transfers. there is a discount for LEO and military. I believe the the background fee is included in the price for Reading Armament as well and internet transfers are 45 if i remember right.

It's been years since I've been there, but Buck Hill Firearms in Cresco is still advertising $10 transfers. That used to be my go-to place when I worked out that way.
