Default Has any one carried while at the Heinz History Center in the Strip District ?

I could not find any policies on their website regarding firearms, so I was wondering if any one had carried there and if they had run into any issues. I will be attending the "Pittsburghs Hidden Treasures" event this Sunday and as always I want to be armed while doing so. Thanks in advance.

i did several years ago. there were no signs, metal detectors, pat downs or anything like that then. it has been awhile, though, so things may have changed, but, frankly, i doubt it. that stuff costs money, so unless they had some specific reason to institute them, i doubt they have.

Don't ask, don't tell. Concealed means concealed. Don't ask about it and don't tell about it. What they don't know won't hurt you.

    Ultra necro thread bump.

Are there metal detectors at the Heinz history center?

Will likely be there next Friday, and the in-laws will drive to the strip, and I'd hate to have to make up a flimsy excuse to go back to their car, and disarm.

As others noted, concealed means concealed.

No metal detectors or searches. Not sure if that changed in the last 9 months.

I dunno about that, but this is true:

1). Last year at Rivers Casino, PNC park and Benedum center, they had metal detectors.

2). The time that I went to these places before that, they did not.

Conclusion: putting them in seems to be a trend.

Getting nabbed trying to get in the door whilst carrying is not a crime any more than refusing to wear a mask is. Just make allowance and have backup plans should they turn you away.

Sure. But driving home to get rid of my gun and then paying to park a second time, and giving myself the lead-time to do so, is not particularly reasonable.

Not real fond of just leaving my gun in the car either.

Not to mention of opening the wall safe without the key
