Yes, that's how I stumbled upon this vid. I was looking into Ranger Point Precision lever gun accessories.
I think I need a break from AR15 building and "Oh, baby", I'm liking what I'm finding!

The traditional styling is quite appealing but it has a trigger guard mounted "bolt - lock / release" which will dramatically complicate malfunction clearance. It was clearly not designed for self defense or if it was, it's designers lack a basic understanding of fundamental ergonomics.

I was looking at these and opted instead for the Ruger PC Carbine because it breaks down and fits into a backpack. But I really like the wood furniture on the Homesteader and plan on buying one in the future. I remember a time when I would have thought the Homesteader was stupid because it's not "tactical", but I'm getting older now and I just like to have fun plinking. I'm not a Navy Seal and I don't pretend to be. I hope Henry sells a ton of these.

    The wood looks like plastic.

I suspect it has something to do with the Henry mags...hopefully. Henry will fix it. Their customer service is the best I've ever dealt with. He did say he was getting the Glock insert, so will be interested in his 1k round review.

Posting this new video because he breaks it down and you get to see the internals.

He's the first one I've seen mention the recoil reducer in the forearm.
