In Caetano v. Massachusetts, SCOTUS says 200k stun guns were sufficient to put then squarely "in common use" and therefore explicitly not unusual, so they can't be dangerous AND unusual. Whatever the number, it is certainly >200k so they are unquestionably protected by the 2A.

Remember, common use is a sufficient condition to qualify for 2A protection, but it is not a necessary one.

Worth noting, there are somewhere in the ballpark of 200k transferable machine guns on the NFRTR too. Not that it should matter -- the founders said "arms". They didn't stutter.

Well, when you know going in that you're going to be locked up and the key thrown away just for showing up, it changes how serious you are when you decide to show up.

The lesson learned from Jan 6th was don't go to a giant rally unarmed and don't go there and let the tyrants get away. A complete and total missed opportunity.

And what then? What's the plan after that? The short-sightedness of "we're gonna get 'em" attitude is, at best, childish. And then who controls the military? What prevents Russia or China from seizing an opportunity to attack because there is nobody in charge?

I usually ignore the folly post of the tiny minority of the "we're gonna get 'em crowd" because I'm quite confident should something like this occur again, the punishments will be more severe than those who did such folly the first time around.
