Again, in order to get around the fact that they can't pass laws, the ATF is simply claiming these have always been SBRs. This will likely take years to make its way through the court system and in the meantime, anyone the ATF says is breaking the law will very likely be SOL. Gun dealers have other additional concerns though, such as the ATF confiscating their entire inventory of braced pistols being sold as pistols and/or the revocation of their FFL long before this things winds its way through the courts.
