If you pull the brace off and add a Magpul CTR as long as the OAL hasn't changed they don't give a shit, & NO it's not another $200 to make the updates.

You can have multiple uppers for your SBR and change them as often as you like so long as you have at least one configuration that meets the registered data they don't care.
Thanks for the response. Good information is always helpful!

I suppose this "length" matter not only deals with "longer than original configuration" but also "shorter than original configuration". Not to get into the "how to make it shorter" thing.....but I would suspect this is really what the OAL "matter\issue\thing" is all about.

    Again...thanks!

Several states + DC have already done it and considering the current 2A climate across the nation, I absolutely think it's something we could be facing sometime in the future on a broader scale. The NFA came about in response to public outcry spurred by a spate of gun violence and here we are again watching history repeat itself with new anti-gun legislation being proposed every day.
There is more divisiveness on the 2A as tribalism grows greater. Some states pushing for (and instituting) Constitutional carry, some pushing for harsher laws. I don't see uber lib DC, CA, etc. moving to legalize SBR's. Even if SCOTUS makes a decision (is there even a case being filed anywere?) they will do everything in their power, legal or illegal like NYS, to push back.

The balkanization may eventually reach a tipping point.

Is it time for me to wake up yet? Do we have a summary and final determination?

No. Go back to sleep. I was at my ffl doing a transfer yesterday and he was complaining that he was getting 2 different answers from 2 different atf contacts. So they don't even know what they're doing, how could you possibly be expected to know?

Some answers but still many questions for those who are willing to play the alphabet agency games.

Thats no different than any other form 1 submitted. Photos have never been a requirement.
