The original "pistol" smooth tubes can accept certain earlier braces that were made for those tubes, so there is no such thing as a tube that can't accept a brace.

This whole mess is a deliberate clusterfuck designed solely to allow ATF to stick their fucking big noses into your business if they choose to do so, AND to provide additional charging ability in the event they come at you for one thing then find you have an "unregistered" SBR. It's straight up death by a thousand cuts approach: big brother can't get another AWB through congress so they're going to peck away with their little peckers at components and scary-looking parts until we're all so damn confused they think we'll just give up.

What tube would that be, every tube ever made as far as I know had somebody figure a way for a brace or a stock to fit on it.

Also: Can you point me to where in the law states this? Honesty, i can't find where it requires a tube that can't accept a brace.

I think EM posted something about it a while back. It's a lot easier just not to comply. Makes more sense too.

The "internet rule" was always that you MUST have a PISTOL buffer tube because you can not attach a stock to one.
I don't know if that was "law", but that's what EVERYONE used to say must be done on AR pistols - NO CARINE BUFFER TUBES.

Somehow that all went out the window when SB Tactical started putting arm braces on standard carbine buffer tubes.

I have no idea what any of that means for the current clusterfuck, but I sure as fuck am not going to test the waters by having a carbine tube on a pistol.

I don't think the ATF actually wanted any of this bullshit. Biden told them to do it so they had to. This got dumped on their lap and now they're stuck trying to clean up the mess. Especially considering the non-remote chance that this could lead to sections of the NFA being thrown out.

Good on him, but I fail to see how this means jack diddly squat. Anything the house does will then have to go through a Senate shitshow, only to be vetoed by the potato in chief. So it's all fluff and no substance. And they know it.

As i see it, this is never going to be stopped in Congress and the only way it's stopped is via the courts. And that is very unlikely because true jurists most likely realize this is a Congressional issue and some still seem to believe in the intended separation of powers.

That's true, but it never seems to have any effect when the time comes for reelection because it's all about who has the most money and the biggest mouth.
