Re: ATF Just Released Their Brace Ruling
This Blog from Josh Prince gives some explanation of why people say changing definition. The atf has interpreted the definition differently at different times over the last couple of years, hence people saying changing hte definition. https://blog.princelaw.com/2017/04/2...ipped-pistols/
Their original interpretation of the definition said no to braces. When challenged they changed their interpretation of the definition and said yes they are legal under certain conditions. As a result of that letter and others, millions have bought braces for pistols and an entire industry sprang up.. Now they have changed their interpretation of the definition again making millions felons if they don*t jump through some hoop or another. In the meantime Bruen has come about and it can be argued the common use section can be applied to braced firearms.

Yup. We're on the same page.
I was at first surprised by the number of guys/gals at a local monthly event which I attend that were just gonna do whatever the ATF said and take it in the rear.... Now though, many more are talking tough and just plan to ignore it all. Hmm..F*S=k

Re: ATF Just Released Their Brace Ruling
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) director Steven Dettelbach was questioned by Rep. Troy Nehls (R-TX) Wednesday and would not say whether Americans will go to jail if found with an unregistered pistol brace once the registration period expires.

Re: ATF Just Released Their Brace Ruling
If they had chosen a position and stuck with it we wouldn't even be having this conversation. The ATF recognized braced ARs as pistols for what? A decade? Then they said oops, they've always been SBRs. 2012 letter from ATF
I think the ATF has at least made that much clear,so he really doesn't need to say anything at this point.
