Opportunity! Go to rural Illinois. Open a business making knives and machetes. They will be in demand when obtaining a gun becomes a pain in the ass.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Can you imagine if people had the same disrespect and the same limitations on the first amendment?

Can’t say anything out loud in public longer than 15 words. Can’t put anything in print longer than 10 words. Can’t use more than five letters in a word. Can’t open your mouth in certain word free zones.

25 plus states going the right way and taking on some form of Constitutional carry then you get states with crap like this. Pa still has a way to go before we are Illinois. Problem is I think our window of opportunity to go the way of over 1/2 of America with Constitutional carry has passed.

Illinois has always been problematic for the 2 amendment. Some here weren't around back in the early 80s when a suburb of Chicago called Morton Grove enacted a total ban on the private possession and sale of handguns. The city never had much of a crime problem before the ban which indicated that this ban was strictly political. The ban was repealed after the DC vs Heller ruling.

The Democratic Party's gun control agenda follows a reliable pattern. In stage one, politicians who have no idea what they are talking about pass a law that wouldn't solve anything. In stage two, the law gets struck down by the courts anyway.

Illinois managed to pass something that would accomplish nothing and be unceremoniously struck down, just as other Democratic states had done. You almost have to admire the commitment to embarrassment.
Most of these "assault weapon" and mag capacity bans aren't getting overturned though.

Did they outlaw those Glock switches? Seems to be a favorite among the gang bangers.

I cannot find the bill to read but there is a catch all that bans ALL devices that allow multiple discharges.
