So .... has anyone noticed anything different at Tanner's lately?

No, but I've never been there, so you'd have to elaborate a little bit. Have you noticed anything different there lately?

Funny you post this. Was just chatting with a former employee. They sold the business and new owners are making some pretty significant changes. It*s my favorite shop so hope changes are for the better.

I noticed none of Raymond's vehicles in their usual spot by the dumpster when I pulled in this AM.

Was totally surprised when staffer told me that he sold out.

Was last place I would have expected that to happen.

Always treated well there - Raymond will be sorely missed.

Hope the new owner doesn't make too many changes - I wish Tom well!

From what I understand, Raymond will be staying for awhile to help with the transition. They will be adding a suppressor kiosk and some other things.. They never seemed to push a lot of ammo, maybe that will be a positive change* Unfortunately, they will probably raise some prices, but we will see

I bought a box of 1K 9s there for $190, before the scamdemic and the place was buzzing like a beehive. They have had a substantial booth at Oaks recently. I have heard nothing but great things about them so hopefully they won't deteriorate much under new ownership. Everyone retires, eventually.

Question. About a decade ago, give it take, I bought a Ruger Mkii from an Eastern PA dealer who set up at the Lebanon show, and had a great selection but was getting out of guns to focus on something else...in house ammo production maybe? I want to say it might have been Tanners, but it's been so long I cant remember.

Does that seem right, or was it someone else?

It was mobbed last Saturday, looked like the same staff. My 50$ giftcard got me 2 boxes of 9mm, and a box of .45

Looks like Tanners now has a real website with what they have in stock with the prices. Seems like a good upgrade by the new owners. Hope they will start posting their used gun listings since their facebook page kept banning them.

Note it is .net instead of the older .com.
