Getting FFL questions
Hello all.
I am very interested in getting my FFL, more specifically a type 1. However, I neither intend to be based out of my home nor to start a gun shop. Rather, I would like to primarily be in the business of selling online on the popular sites (e.g. gunbroker.com, armslist.com, gunsamerica.com, etc.) and to do firearms transfers for others (i.e. pistol transfers and those of both pistols and long guns bought online). As for where I will be based and what my FFL address will be, I intend it to be a two room office that I will rent. Finally, I would like to operate it not as a sole proprietorship but, rather, a single-member LLC here in Pennsylvania.
I have attempted to read through the ATF's info concerning FFL's and am still a bit confused about as to whether what I plan to do will be in line with the ATF's guidelines.
Would someone with experience in this field, and, perhaps, reading comprehension skills far better than mine, provide me with whatever insight they may concerning the viability of my proposed arrangement above?
Thank you in advance.
Best,
Bruce

The short answer is yes, that's all fine. Many, many FFLs operate this way with many of those dealing exclusively online and not even having an office at all. There's a kid (I think he's 22-23, which I call a kid) in State College that does just that and he's killing it on Gunbroker.

That was basically how I intended to operate my FFL(never renewed).
If I recall correctly you will have to nail down your business location and show that there are no zoning issues with the local municipality."It seems that the Constitution is more or less guidelines than actual rules"

Yes, sounds like a sound business plan.
Make sure you landlord is okay with you running a FFL out of that location and that zoning allows it. Read this post:

Make sure the zoning is good, I checked with my town and they said I was ok but changed their mind when the feds called to confirm. Thankfully they told them the same and the variance was quick and free.
Other fun is signing up with the dist that will sell to a non-store front only online.Owner Trigger Time LLc 01 FFL/NFA Saylorsburg, PA. Sales/Service/Transfers/Training
