Go for it - CLICK HERE for rebate info.
Polymer framed pistols handle full power loads very well. The recoil impulse is a bit snappy buy very manageable.

ETA - I think that you'll find the trigger to be the typical M&P trigger (long and gritty). It'll wear in with time or you can invest in a replacement from Apex.

Find someone that has one or a place to rent one and shoot it first. Make sure you're OK with the recoil and the way the gun feels.

Glock 29 compact & Fiocchi 180gr FMJ SWC equal a tad more than "snappy". I can only imagine what the Buff-bore and Underwood feels like. I reload to tame it down some but if you don't reload, some offerings from Sinterfire, Armscor in 180, Remington and even the Sig Sauer 180gr FMJ's are OK. A full size 10mm pistol will contribute to more shooting/training than a compact will. Damn better accuracy also.

Great thread. I just won a Magnum research (bull armory) 1911 knife combo in 10MM. Haven't shot it yet but was eye popping for ammo costs.

Not sure of expectations but I know I want different sights as these are just blacked out rear and front.

Any target ammo recommended or nice defense ammo to recommend?

Looking forward to first rounds through this 1911.
