After market trigger or gunsmith?
I have a Springfield XDM elite and the trigger is decent but not as good as I want it. Should I pick up an after market trigger for it, or is there something a good gunsmith could do to take the tiny bit of creep/travel away?
I just wan at to improve my accuracy, and triggers can make all the difference.

Re: After market trigger or gunsmith?
I installed a Powder River Precision trigger kit in my XDM. It made a huge difference in the overall feel and actuation of the trigger. Worth the money. Only caveat is you have to take your time doing the install. I had to do mine twice because I disabled the grip safety the first time around.

I installed the Powder River Ultimate Match Trigger Kit on my original XD9 which had a horrible factory trigger. It's now just a tad over 3# and has been 100% reliable.

Re: After market trigger or gunsmith?
A good, competent gunsmith is ALWAYS going to do a superior job but, hard to find, not too many of them, will cost more. That is why there are so many after market parts/kits around. Like your car/SUV/truck. I don't need a mechanic to change a brake light bulb or put new wipers on but, more complicated stuff is better with a good mechanic.
