I was watching a show on ME and they were saying that those sheds are valuable, "very valuable". How valuable could they be?

Found one side, three point. Looked around and it occurred to me maybe they were butting heads.

A week ago, all 5 buck that came by had both antlers. Today, I changed batteries in 2 cameras so ill see if any started to drop yet.
It seems some of the local buck keep theirs even into early Mar ( last year ).

Moose antlers sell for more. I have friends opening hunting and hunting dog training camp in Oxbow, Me. I told him about the moose antler sheds business and he might do a side business.

I read somewhere that it's illegal to sell antler sheds in Pa and you need a permit to keep a skull with antlers attached.

Not sure if this is something the Pa shed police enforce.
Ive only ever come across a couple over the years.

I am not an active hunter so I only know a little about the rules and regs but I do try to follow when other talks about them...2A, 4C, etc. I know that you need to keep distance from houses, there are rifle and shotgun areas, seasons for different species and hours and days that you can hunt. I also believe that the only species that can be sold are snapping turtles. Yes, we can sell snapping turtles to the local diner and they can make soup out of it.

I started watching Lone Star Law, which follows TX game wardens and learned some things about their regulations. One that really stuck out is that they have the ability to bait for deer and shoot them right at the bait station. I don't think that's allowable in PA. Now I'm watching North Country Law, which follows the the ME wardens and I find the differences in regulations to be interesting. Only one deer per hunter per year. Can bait for a certain amount of time but cannot hunt over bait for deer. They can hunt over bait for bear. And yes, Boo Boo prefers doughnuts and honey. Moose is heavily regulated, permit allocated via lottery for a specific sex in a specific area. I figure that for the most part, they only show the poaching cases that they solve and that there are more unsolved than solved. The wardens that they show in both series are very lenient IMO and scofflaws would be wise to see how different perps are handled based on their behavior. I would be tougher on the perps than they are.
