    Default SKS prices

I found Yugo SKS's used $250, new $270. Are these fair prices? How can I tell if the new one is really new?
    I vote the second first

That is what they are going for around here now. They are all used but some are sold as being "unissued". I don't think you can ever really know, their stocks can be dinged up from storage and transport but perhaps more if it was issued. For the prices Yugos are going for I find the chinese Norincos that are in good shape more and more attractive, they are lighter and look better IMO. I have seen them around earlier this year for $300 in great shape but that price may be higher now.

Out of curiosity, where are you finding them?

I have been seeing more and more chinese and russian SKSs at gun shows, both at the Valley Forge and the Allentown Days Inn show. Every gun show as of this summer still had Yugos mostly for $270.

Since the election I have been to 4 gun stores, wasn't looking for SKSs but don't think I saw any.

I bought an "unissued" Yugo w/ granade launcher from Eagle Arms. I got it at a show, but they have a shop between Allentown and Kutztown. I paid $295, IIRC. As far as I can tell, it's new... the stock doesn't appear to be refinished and there aren't any dings or anything. I checked out the serial #... mfg is 1968.

Dunhams still had Yugo SKS rifles a week or so ago for just under $300.00.

They must be getting these sporadically because they were out of them for a while before that. Dealers keep claiming 'last ones', that may be the case, they do have to end sometime.
