Re: want to buy sks drum
No such beast per se AFAIK. You need an SKS that can take unmodified AK mags and then try an AK drum.

If you don't know who your state legislators are go here:
http://www.legis.state.pa.us/index.cfm
put your zip plus 4 in the box in the upper right hand corner.

Re: want to buy sks drum
I say use the AK drum. You can carve the wood off the furniture with a Dremel rotary tool and a coarse sanding drum. I did it to my buddies SKS for him. When he bought his SKS, the salesman gave him 2 30rd AK clips and said they'd work if you cut the wood, so we tried it and it worked.

Re: want to buy sks drum
That wiill only work if the SKS was one that came with the ability to take AK mags already. Otherwise there is no place in front to hold the AK mag. The regular SKS fixed magazine has a long front which is hinged so the mag can swing open to dump the ammo when the catch is released.
That is why SKS detachable mags have the "duckbill", to fill up the space and catch on the little bar in front (the name of which eludes me at the moment). If you don't know who your state legislators are go here:

put your zip plus 4 in the box in the upper right hand corner.
