Default Diamondback DB9 gen4 very interesting?

OK this one has my attention !

I've been watching U-T vids and like what I see so far. This is Ruger LCP2 size, USA made and in 9mil. If cleaned and lubed properly with new factory ammo it appears to run well. Definatly not a range piece but a viable carry option.

Anyone have one of these or one of the older models care to share they're experience?

The DB9 is not known for its reliability. The Sig P365 is about the same size, weighs 4oz more, and, more importantly, holds double the rounds.

Didn't diamondback 9mm's have a reputation for exploding?

Did a you tube search "handgun explodes", no luck just a bunch of Glocks, S&Ws, Rugers and 50cals all blown up.
There's actually alot on youtube, kinda scary if you don't know any better.

Then searched "DB9 explodes" and did find two about 10-11 years ago with the older non plus P model.

I wonder if they were questionable reloads?

Probably not since it was on you tube and the creator said so.

As I recall shooting a DB9 years ago, the grip angle was nonexistent. The grip overall sucked and it hurt my hand for quite a while. In defense of the design, they are not meant to be target pistols. I would not buy one.

Had one of the first models. Was uncomfortable to shoot. It took focus when shooting, the least bit of limp wristing or a bad hold would result in a smoke stack failure for me. I think there a better options now. Sold it long ago.

OK I'll take one for the team. After the holidays I'll go on the witch-hunt for a new gen-4 model. Then put it through the paces and report back.

    Rich e,

A&S Indoor Pistol Range in Youngwood has 2 in stock. One all black for 229, one with silver accents for a bit more. They are intriguing. I look forward to your report.

    Thanks.
A&S is about an hour drive and tolls.
I can't believe Rural King or Dunhams doesn't have any?
