The UN has become a craptastic idea..

The original idea (sorta) was simply a place for countries to talk in the age of telegrams and mail delivered by steamboat, and sometimes radio for the countries that weren't level.

It's a reasonable Idea.. a central place for Diplomats to have meetings, organize things, and whatnot..

But now you have countries that make ours look like pillars of honesty and morals.. Which was NOT the original plan..

Basically reinforce the power of the security council, give voting seats to England (Still have the soft spot for the brits hehe) China, Russia, an maybe non-voting seats to South America, Africa, etc..

Everyone else can be there, and discuss and debate and try to convince the "voting members" about issues..

But this whole US Secretary from a 3rd world nation having Troops is ass-nine.

Puntin? He's has total understanding of the Iraq war.. He doesn't give a flipping ass what we do, just as long as Russia can do the same thing and we keep our mouth shut.. They're not going to invade unless they see a chance to win quickly with little or no nuclear fallout. China is a big of a threat to Russia as we are. It's the crappy 3rd world nations who idea's about freedom and individual rights stem from rape gangs armed in paramilitary armies.. That's not what we are. But thats their world view,

That's why you see these #$%#$ idiot "rules" about disarming and military rollback. They see what is happening in their own country, so they want the major powers to destroy the guns period.. They also trust the military because the military in their country is under their control. It's so stupid..

If the big 3/4 want to put peace keepers (under each countries respective commands) and share intel, and even battle plans. That's fine.. Especially the Brits who are just as well trained and self controlled as our own. But to force each country to put its own troops under foreign command is total madness. The goals and the points of interest aren't shared. Whats good for the US could be bad for France.. So why would we put US firepower under a French Commander?!

Of course this whole idea goes out the window if the alien invasion happens, so lets hope that holds off for a while
