savage M340
i just bought a Savage model 340A in 30-30, and i was curious if any one knew what the "A" meant, and if there is any other information you have about this rifle

The A is just a model change indication. The manufacturers use it when they make a design change. There are going to be parts that can't be shared between this model and the first one.
Specifically, I'm not sure what they changed.
