Yeah. I talk, and type too much. I tried to edit it to slim it down a bit. The cliff*s notes version is that ammo is down but still high, lots of Milsurps but for high to very, very high prices, I saw two guns I liked but I guess not enough to buy and my 12 year old got some cool military uniform pieces. Not sure why I couldn*t have just said that to begin with. Lol.

As for what you*re saying about milsurp prices, I get that but I can easily find stuff for half of what I saw yesterday which is significant. It makes me think about getting a table at a show myself and selling my excess pieces for market value instead of what I saw. That might work better than trying to sell to other collectors far away.

A friend of mine sold his 4 m1 garands. He didn't get a table this time.

He sold them at the show? Like just walking around with them?

dont bother trying to sell at market value or below. everyone will handle them and ask you to do better. apparently, if you want to sell something is to mark it way up (more than its worth) and then knock off a hundred bucks to make someone feel good that they overpaid for it. giving someone a good deal is the hardest thing to do for some reason.

So that wasn't him set up against a wall with four pieces for sale, eh?

If it was the guy I'm thinking of, I saw those M-1s when he walked them in one at a time. EVERYONE of them were shot out. My muzzle gauge went all the way past 3 and up to the neck bevel and the throats were in the 7+ range. If he got what he was asking well God help the poor sod who bought them.

If I'm mistaken on if that was your friend please no reflection on him.
