To be honest, I probably wouldn't go out anymore if my daughter wasn't into it. I go for her more than me anymore. I would probably take a trophy if I saw it, but I'm not going to shoot some scrub deer for myself anymore just to say I got one this year. I didn't even carry a rifle when I went with her. If she gets something, then maybe I will.

Random observations. When you hear something crash in the woods....

    9/10 it's a squirrel.
    0.7/10 it's a dead tree branch.
    0.2/10 it's a bunch of does.
    0.1/10 it's Bambi's dad.

Didn't see shit. Was out with my granddaughter from Saturday till yesterday at noon.

I saw one spike that I thought was a doe at first. I also saw a bobcat walking along a creek bed, about 100 ft away. That was pretty cool.

Are you sure it wasn't a mountain lion?

Nope. I saw one 20+ years ago up in Rome, PA. It was much bigger.

Got a big doe that was hit today, didn't see anything in the woods, except tree-rats and a fucking 'yote.

Wait... it was roadkill, or another hunter shot it and you tagged it?
