Default Odd Black Powder Rifle handed down to me

Good afternoon. Hoping that one of you might have some ideas on this. My wife’s grandfather recently passed away and since no one else in the family is interested in firearms, I received a few old relics. I have no idea about this one. Looks like a conversion from an old Kentucky style long rifle. Or some type of old prototype carbine? Any ideas?

The stock is reminiscent of an H C Daniels breech loader, but that's not one. The pics are too small to make out any details, but I've seen that stock someplace before.

Yes, i*m sorry for the small pics. The originals are large but I can*t seem to get them over in a decent format.

thats not, nor was, a long rifle. Do a search on Tryon rifle. Seems to sorta be of that flavor.

Yes it does resemble a Tryon. Such a weird stock around the grip. I remember seeing similar stocks at the Allentown Forks of the Delaware show. May be a good place to bring it. Thank you.
