Re: Honest Opinions on Springfield XDs?
I've had an XDS Mod2 for a quite a while and it's been an excellent shooter. Ran it through a class a couple years ago where we put about 600 rounds through our guns in one day and it ran perfectly. Only problem I ever had with it was about a year ago I got a click with no bang. Turned out to be a factory new round with the primer seated backwards. I like it for concealed carry when my G19 is going to be too large.

Grip Saftey & Positioning of your grip is # 1 reason a lot of shooters dismiss this firearm .It aint your daddys 1911 !

Re: Honest Opinions on Springfield XDs?
I've had the original XD40 4" Service model since for 18years. I've shot the hell out of it. I might be on the second barrel even.
I've carried it CC and open, used it for competitions, and even used it as a hammer to break-into my apartment when locked out.
So many haters over the years, but I like it. I carried it a lot in all sorts of conditions/terrain, etc. At a recent training event, the checker/instructor at the safety table commented on how "well-worn" it looks. I'm thinking of rattle-canning it FDE/Coyote when I get back to The States.... bc peanut butter is way more dangerous as we all know.F*S=k

Shoot the hell out of it and see what you think.
Touch wood... but the only ammo mine doesn't seem to like is that Fiocci Range shiite. I use that as training "dud" ammo and keep it separate.
Again... knock on woods, but I've not yet suffered any mag lip issues. I've polished my feed ramps a few times.
Sights suck. But I don't use them on that one.
I mean.. I'm not considering doing a "Euro-Delivery" of whatever Springfield co-brands next, or am I? haha... but, it's worked for me.F*S=k
