22 cans
Thinking about getting a 10/22 with a can for squirrel hunting. Was curious what dedicated 22 cans are well regarded, any truly compelling argument for getting a 223 rated can? Any 223 cans worth a damn in the 500ish with stamp price range?
Finally like the price on this can any hands on feedback from poofa?

Re: 22 cans
I've had a SWR Warlock for about 6 or 7 years now. Still a great light weight 22 can.
I find it better to have a dedicated 22 lr can, one all other pistol can, and one all other centerfire rifle can.www.Steelvalleycasting.com is your new home for coated bullets and custom ammo.

Re: 22 cans
Couple reasons to have a can just for 22LR.
22LR is dirty, even plated bullets, and whereas I have never cleaned my center fire rifle and pistol cans, I have to clean my .22 can every couple thousand rounds. I wouldnt want to fill up a larger center fire can and have to clean more surface area.
22LR cans are smaller in every way, which I think is their best feature. Makes them easy to throw on 22LR pistols and rifles and keep the total weight down. You may be thinking you will only be using your can on a rifle, but give it time, you will be picking up a 22LR pistol with a threaded barrel I can guarantee. In America arms are free merchandise such that anyone who has the capital may make their houses into armories and their gardens into parks of artillery. - Ira Allen, 1796

Re: 22 cans
I currently have a warlock I*m waiting on, at about 160 days and the way it looks probably be another 160 days before I get it. I got it free on the BOGO promotion last year. I hear they work pretty good, I*ll be using it mostly on a bolt gun so I think with subs it should be really quiet.
Today was a good day!

Re: 22 cans
If I had to do it again I think I'd get a steel one instead of aluminum. Easier to clean. They get really dirty inside and you can't be real aggresive with aluminum. Some of the best money I ever spent fun wise.
