Well, generational dynamics is coming into play.

Anytime one generation doesn't want to let go of the reins of power there is always strife.

The boomers came in during 1992-1996 and within a few years the generation that fought WW2 was out for the most part. It was a very quick change.

I think you will see much the same over the next 5 years.

Trump of course is determined to run at all costs, but when he runs he will be 78. By the time he leaves he would be 82, past the point most men would be alive.

Personally myself I see the need for change and will support a younger candidate because in the end dealing with the above situation doesn't really benefit the country. If Trump is the candidate in the end, I'll turn up and vote. Sometimes people need to know when it's time to get off the stage and enjoy their retirement.
