My mistake, my apologies, big fingers, little keys.... 232nd Birthday. I had two uncles serve in the Marines, My father was a Navy Corpsman (WWII Pacific, Korean War), a Uncle and my Grandfather (WWI France) served in the Army, I served in the Coast Guard. A salute to all veterans and whatever the number - Happy Birthday to the U.S. Marines!!!!!

Big Marine on the right was my mom's cousin, Joe. He was KIA in '68 less than a week before the end of his tour...

That makes me very sad.

Gave my cousin a call yesterday. 75y/o Marine. Served in Nam - helicopter gunner. Got shot down. Hard landing but no one hurt. We hunted deer together back in the 70s. He has been having some very serious health issues. I could hear the weakness in his voice. I felt very bad after my call.

Very sorry for your family's loss. God bless them for simply doing what they believed was their duty.
