Quick detachable bipod for deer rifle?
I was thinking about buying a bipod for my hunting rifle. Is there a bipod that comes with a tactical rail that mounts to the gun, so to allow the bipod to be attached and or detached quickly in the field without any tools(wrenches/screwdrivers…)
There have been times while hunting that I see a deer and there is nothing to rest upon so I will lay in the prone position and take the shot. If I were to have a bipod for the prone position it would make some shots easier. I don’t want to have the bipod attached all the time. Hopefully something around $100.
Thank you.

Harris bipods mount to your sling stud and can be removed in under 20 seconds

What kind of rifle and stock are you trying to mount to?

The Magpul ones seem decent and they're very light. They come in different mounting configurations; swivel stud/rail, etc...

Re: Quick detachable bipod for deer rifle?
For that setup attaching a picatinny rail wouldn*t be a straight forward easy task.
So the Harris mounted to the sling swivel would probably be your best bet. Second choice would be the Magpul, it*s lighter than Harris but in my opinion not as sturdy. Anything cheaper won*t hold up and anything better is going to cost triple what you are looking to spend.Last edited by spartakis252; November 4th, 2022 at 12:46 PM. Reason: spelling
