First time seeing that. The white car was playing a dangerous game with street thugs. Do they belong on the street? Absolutely not! My truck locks at 15 mph automatically so such things shouldn't be a concern. If someone did that to me, they would be looking down the barrel of a G19 or FN Five Seven. However, I wouldn't engage in that activity in the first place. The smartest thing the driver in the white car did was turn off.

That parking lot is the first place they could safely cut left along that stretch - the white car was boxed in until they were getting close to DeKalb. If the white car tried to turn left, they had that uninterrupted stream of southbound traffic to worry about (in addition to that little cloud of road pirates).

I wonder if the driver of the white car was multitasking, calling 911?

Out of fear for my life, there would have been blood and meat smeared all over the streets in both of those scenarios. Trying to break into my car when I'm in it makes it justified, as does pointing a gun at me.
