Or, you know, people could just vote in person and show an ID to preserve election integrity.

If you don't own property or pay taxes you shouldn't be qualified to vote.

What about hard working people who rent/lease rather than buy a house??

What about people who, because of circumstances, get back every bit of what they paid into income tax? Hopefully you're talking about people who never even pay into the tax system.

And lastly, wasn't it actually like this at one point in our history, non land owners did not have the right to vote?

My dad worked all of his life, he's a Korean war vet. He's very much retired, living off of savings and SS, he doesn't make enough SS to be taxable. He sold his house a few years ago and moved into an apartment so he has no maintenance or property tax.
He should be able to vote.

He still pays property tax. people think renters dont pay property tax. My building's tax is roughly 7500 a year.
Do you think my landlord just eats that? Nope. My neighbor and I pay it in our rent, as we do sewer and trash,
electric and gas, and cable. Water is on them because we only have one meter, but I'm sure thats factored in the rent.
The more I work on peoples homes the less I want to own.

After you're done paying taxes, mowing the lawn, maintaining the place and paying interest, it is not all it's cracked up to be.

If you don't own property or pay taxes you shouldn't be qualified to vote.
Then people who own a home in Pennsylvania and another in PRNJ shore should be able to vote in local elections in both states.

Really? You made this post to tell me his rent pays for the owners various expenses?
He pays rent, the property owner chooses to pay taxes with a portion of that money, maybe, we don't really know how the owner pays his bills.
