    1) You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to RockIsland again.
    2) Stop thinking on my frequency, Rock - I already have enough voices in my head.

aka "Situational Awareness" (google to your hearts' content).

Armed or not, frail or a stud, tactical operator or noob - properly done, situational awareness can keep you out of trouble or help you get out of it faster than you got into it.

One of the key concepts of situational awareness is the distinction between a person (or system) and the environment. The environment refers to everything important that is going on around a person. A focus on important elements of the environment emphasizes that situational awareness is always about getting someting done. This can be a task, a project or anything else that requires interaction with relevant elements of the person's environment.

The statement on being mentally prepared to do violence at any given time is spot on
You must be able to reconcile the idea with "being a good person"
the statement "A "good person" does not commit acts of violence" is incorrect for the preservation of the individual.
it should be "A good person does not commit acts of violence unless it is necessary to protect themselves and or others"
And those of us who have decided to carry arms, we should be able to mentally reconcile this before putting on the big iron,

I am not a violent person but if need be, I am capable of great violence to protect myself and others.
