Default AR’s built for accuracy, let’s see them.

I built, or shall I say assembled this particular AR for one purpose, accuracy. The rifle is mostly Spike’s and first thing I bought was the barrel. A Spike’s branded lothar-walthar LW-50 stainless barrel. Here’s the parts list.

    Lothar-Walthar 16” LW-50 stainless, 1/8 wylde chamber poloygonal rifling
    Spike’s lower/upper
    Spikes BCG
    Timney single stage trigger
    ALG V2 15” rail
    B5 sopmod
    ADM 30mm scope mount
    Vortex Viper 4-16x44

Took a while to find what it likes best, after loading a bunch of different loads I’ve found a good one, seems to really like the 77grn SMK’s the best so far.

That thread title is bound to attract a dissertation from our expert. Who no doubt built one better and cheaper.

Aren't all ARs built for accuracy?

If i were going to build something for accuracy long range, I'd be picking a bigger pill than a .223. But maybe that's just me.

Aye ya ya, read the thread title again. Never mentioned anything about long range but if you*re looking for long range you can always build a 308 or 6.5 creedmoor AR, it*s not limited to 223/5.56. Not every gun needs to be used at 1000 yds.
