Default Utah Non-Resident Concealed Carry Class. Saturday, October 29th, Exton, PA.

Concealed carry enthusiasts know that the Utah non-resident concealed firearm permit is the permit to have. If you travel for business or pleasure, now you can continue to maintain your personal safety in more states across the country. In order to obtain this important permit, an applicant must complete an approved course of instruction taught by a Utah state certified instructor.

This is a 4 hour class (classroom lecture only) and the cost of the class is $150.00 per student. The fee includes the class, passport sized photographs and digitally scanned FBI fingerprint cards, everything needed to apply for the permit. The fee for the permit itself is $63.50, payable to Utah BCI.

All applicants will be required to first have a permit from their home state if their home state has a process for issuing carry permits. You do not need the home state permit before taking the Utah permit class with us, but you will need to have obtained your home state permit before mailing in your application to Utah. If you have a question about this, please call us for further explanation.

Upcoming classes are being held in Exton, PA. Seating is very limited.

Saturday, 10/29/2022 from 9 am until 1 pm.

For addition info and to sign up for a class please go to:

I don't understand what the appeal of the Utah permit is, it looks like it only adds in Nevada and Delaware compared to the resident PA LTCF.

Well, if you go to or travel through Delaware .............

You are correct, as is widgetman101. They hype it up with all the states it covers but in the end it only nets us around five, four of which are on the other side of the country. DE is the one people want but IIRC, you can just pull it out and place it on the dashboard for driving through DE. IANAL.

I am not hyping anything. I am merely offering a class for said permit. The class is held in Exton, PA, Chester County, where a fair amount of people travel into DE for business or pleasure. It may or may not be lawful in a given State, to place a loaded firearm on one's dashboard/seat etc. During a traffic stop it will likely yield results that may or may not go in ones favor, depending on the reason for the stop. If the officer pulls you over wants to be a real asshole, with a loaded handgun in a vehicle without a carry permit, they can jack you up on 18 U.S. Code § 926A. If you are not a LEO from DE or a firearms attorney, maybe you should refrain from giving out legal advise.

I didn't mention any names but if you've seen a lot of the sales pitches for UT, it's quite frequently how many states it's good for. Then when I clicked on the interactive maps and saw the comparison between what PA covers vs what UT, AZ, or FL cover, it's not as glorious as they make it sound. And I have yet to hear one single one say, "This will net you DE over PA".
