DelCo Sheriff fast LTCF renewal

I just wanted to write a brief post about how I was impressed and pleasantly surprised by the quick turnaround of getting my LTCF renewal processed. I haven’t renewed since we had our last sheriff and the process took weeks. I wasn’t sure how the new sheriff was going to be. I feared even longer but I was pleasantly surprised to have gotten my renewal letter on a Monday and went up to the Delaware County Courthouse that day. By Wednesday I had the letter of approval in my mailbox and I went back the same day and my LTCF was ready. They’ve shaved weeks of processing time from the previous sheriff’s offices. You’re doing something right, Sheriff Sanders!

Good to hear, I always got the feeling from that department that they lamented giving a single LTCF to us peasants..

I renewed mine online about 6 weeks or so ago, I got a robo call stating it was done but the robo call,
sounded like a retarded mexican so I never responded. Maybe I should call.

Why should we have to wait at all? the Pennsylvania instant background check system (PICS) should be sufficient to determine if you are/are not eligible for a LTCF
Hell why should we have to get a permit in the first place?
Do you need a permit to exercise any other right?
If you do then its not a right but a privilege granted by the .gov
