    Default Rifle rebuild finished

This is using the same Shilen Barrel in 260 Remington, & Model 10 Action I*ve had the last several years. I started a full rebuild on it this past Spring. Stripped it down to bare Action again and Cerekoted all the parts Armor Black. I also replaced the PTG barrel nut with an International barrel nut. I had my new Chassis & scope at that time, but the heat & humidity started before I could get back to it. The heat finally broke a couple weeks ago and I finished up. Cerakoted the Mirage URL Chassis Tactical Grey. The Action is wearing a Talley Picatinny mount and several Titanium parts including the Bolt Handle, Bolt knob I made machined myself & the BAS with DLC coating. The Bolt body was also Cerakoted, and I fit a PTG Bolt Head. I also machined a new heavier S7 tool steel firing pin and using a 20lb Flat-wire, Chrome-Silicon spring. On top is my ADM mount I*ve used for years, but had to replace the ring set it uses for 34mm, to fit the new US Optics TS-20 scope. The Bipod I also designed & machined the components from 2024 Billet, Carbon Fiber & Titanium rod. The rifle weight right about 16lbs. It*s come out exactly as I intended. I am truly happy with this rig. About the most custom built Savage 10/110 I*ve ever seen. It was already a built rifle, but now it*s pretty over the top, LOL.

The Action parts in my home made curing oven.

    And after Cerakote fully cured.

    Finished rifle.

Nice build. Looks like you put some effort and time into it.

HA! I honestly don*t know when I*ll get out. Being disabled & not able to drive sucks* And here in Pennsyltucky, ya need to belong to one of those ranges to even shoot 1000yds! I can*t even get get close to trying a Mile shot! No, the farthest anywhere around is 300yds, at a few of the PA Gamelands ranges. Ok for testing loads, and groups. But that*s not really very fun. I enjoy steel*at distance. Man! Do I miss Arizona.

I*ll get out here at some point, now that it*s cooler. But honestly, the building itself is more enjoyable for me. When I finish one, I*m looking for the next project. I need to get back to making some Custom knives as well. Haven*t made any this year.
