Handgun Scope
I have a Bushnell Trophy 2x6x32 scope. This scope has a very tight field of view - 12.5' @ 100 yds. Even at the lowest power (2X) the magnification is too high for me.
What is a good handgun scope w/ a 1X minimum magnification and a large field of view? It has to handle sustained 44 magnum levels of recoil.

Re: Handgun Scope
1x dosent really work. It actually looks smaller looking through it.
If you want more field of view you need a scope with a larger tube and objective lens.
Unfortunately with handgun scopes there are not just alot made anymore.
I run Burris scopes currently. Most all mine are 3-12. But they do make a lower power one.
Check Grafs.com for Burris web page for details.www.Steelvalleycasting.com is your new home for coated bullets and custom ammo.

Re: Handgun Scope
I've read in reviews that there is no true 1 in a 1-4x whatever scope. I recently purchased a Tacticon 1-4x 24 LPVO. At 1 the scope image appears smaller when comparing with both eyes open. Dialing the magnification up to about 1-1/2 seems close to a 1 to 1. This is not a pistol scope or even a scout scope. Just saying...the 1 power is off.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Re: Handgun Scope
I resolved this issue by switching to a reflex red dot sight.
