Isn't every purse a CC purse? Why spend extra money I'm sure she has plenty of purses.

Hip or appendix carry are the two best options for concealed carry. Single stack 9's can be very slim, slim enough to carry IWB in even the tightest of leggings or jeans. And let's face it guys the only reason for wanting double stack nines with as many rounds as it can fit is all about mine is bigger than yours. Your average self defense use of a firearm is one to three shots. There are also the very popular with ladies gun the 380. It's smaller, less powerful and less effective than a 9mm but with people that have weaker hands they are easier to rack the slide and manage recoil. Please have this discussion with your wife and do your research. Purse carry is fraught with major flaws for concealed carry.

Sounds like my wife. I suggested purse carry years ago. She said she has her purse away from her body “in the cart in front of her, in the car” etc…. And it was probably not a good idea.

When a woman is assaulted, it is usually a strong-arm robbery. What gets taken from a woman? Her purse!
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

LOL I don't think people are really understanding the purpose of this for her. She isn't looking for a solution to carry 24/7, when we go out we're together literally everywhere we go. I carry AIWB 24/7 so it's not a worry if she doesn't have a gun on her when we're both together which again is 95%+ of the time.

This is literally for the times when she has to go to the store to get groceries or take our daughter to a doctors appointment while I'm working. Occasionally she'll stop and have lunch with her mother or they'll go do a little shopping at a mall.

I realize that a mugger situation is going to be a problem however if/when she does go out it's during the day to places I'd consider relatively safe with enough people around that her being robbed in view of others is unlikely. I would agree more on carrying on her person if she was going to areas that were more risky and needed to actually walk into alley's or parking garages etc.

This is strictly so she has something to defend herself with so if she's out having lunch at a restaurant and someone comes in shooting or at a grocery store she's not a sitting duck. That is all, I think I'll just have her look directly in the local gun shops and see what she likes.
