Exactly the reason I am trying to get my wife to carry IWB. She recognizes that the purse is no place to keep a gun. The problem is… that leaves no option that she’s willing to get used to.

When I try to encourage her to carry my G43 or HER S&W EZ-9 in a slim appendix holster… I get:

“I’m only going to (insert store here), I don’t think I’ll need to shoot anybody”

So it’s a work in progress…. But purse carry is definitely out

(Preaching to the choir.) Regardless of how and when she carries, situational awareness is the best lesson for her...

Scan the bank parking lot before exiting your vehicle to use the ATM... and keep your head on swivel once you do.

No. I'm sure you've seem ladies looking for Anything in their purse, it's a search mission.

If the piece is just put in with all the other stuff in there, It's useless.

CC purses have a compartment for the pistol only.

one of my female friends uses a "belly band" and she likes it.
Nothing is Ideal in all situations.
Most of the time she's carrying a S&W 380 "body Guard" or a 5 round revolver.
Carry as much gun as you can, as conveniently as you can.
Do the best you can, with what you have.

Grices, Dunhams, and Sporting Goods Discounters(Johnstown) have CC purses.

Each time I buy a gun at one of those places I end up having to buy the old lady a new purse that she finds while I'm doing the legal shit. They've ranged from $30 to $150. I'm no purse aficionado, but they all seem to be made well with good leather, stitching, and lots of pockets. She's like the Imelda Marcos of purses now.

I have a wife who I can't get to shoot or carry, an 18 year old daugher who can't wiat to carry, and a sister in law that does carry.

I have looked into this some for them

Pistol Packn Momma has a great selection of purses

One of the female pro shooters i follow likes stuff by this place, Tactifashion. They have clothing made specifically for women who carry, including purses

They actually make conceal carry leggins

My wife loves her Coronado Leather CCW purse. I don't know that they make her specific one anymore, though the others look good to her if she needs to replace it. She's had the same one for nearly eleven years now, and it's still going strong: https://coronadoleather.com/collecti...sic-collection

Her sister-in-law and mother balked at the price tag of around $300 for the purse, but considering she usually had to buy a new purse every year due to them breaking in some fashion (Strap, zipper, etc), ten years' worth of $30 purses means we've more than gotten our money's worth out of it. And with those other purses, she couldn't have carried anyway.
