    Default 44 Mag. - is SWC OK for Deer

    Is a 44 mag. loaded w/ 240 gr. SWC OK for deer hunting? Would a 240 JHP be that much more effective?

    I prefer the SWC I both rifle and pistol. It feed well in my Ruger carbine, but rarely did i need the second shot over the years.
