I've seen on the "news" that Mom lived on the farm, but dad lives in some shithole in the hood. That's the connection with The Hood.
Any news on who, or what "Daddy" is.
Has anyone heard, or seen anything???

From the Inquirer. Here's the summary. I don't have a subscription to access it.

Temple faculty union to discuss taking no-confidence vote in president Wingard and two top administrators

As tensions mount over campus safety and a monthlong graduate student strike, Temple University’s faculty union plans to discuss on Friday whether to take a vote of no confidence in president Jason Wingard and two of his top administrators. “We have heard from enough folks, not just people who are in [the faculty union], but folks who are in other unions on campus, department chairs, administrators about the lack of confidence in central leadership right now,” said Jeffrey Doshna, president of the Temple Association of University Professionals, the faculty union.

6abc did some investigative reporting on crime around city college campuses. So called "Clery Crimes" named for the The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1990, is a law mandating schools track crime stats in and around campus. While they fail to draw any (obvious) conclusions as to the cause of the increased crime, some pretty good stats and graphics are presented in the report...

Map is deceptive, it looks like if you go outside the school area boundary there is no crime. Show everything. Is it better or worse near the schools. Cherry picked facts are propaganda.

I think that defeats the purpose of the Clery Crimes reporting. Of course if you include all of North or West Philadelphia crime is going to be bad. I assume they believe the students won*t venture too far off campus and remain under the umbrella.

I know stories of students from outside the area who thought it was okay to walk anywhere in North Philadelphia and not because they weren*t told it was unsafe, but because they thought everyone was nice and good and friendly, like back home

As Carson re-clarified, the data is correlated to Clery crime statistics which specifically concerns crime within a specified radius of a college campus.

From March 6 - things must be complicated behind the curtain.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The suspect charged in the murder of Temple University Police Sergeant Christopher Fitzgerald had his preliminary hearing postponed indefinitely. Miles Pfeffer, 18, is facing several charges including murder. He is being held in Philadelphia's Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility without bail.
